2019 Ishimura Ohmi memorial service

[Ishimura Ohmi memorial service begins at 11:30AM on 2^nd April, 2019]

Ishimura Ohmi is a succession title of Shamisen producer in the Edo-era and there were many acclaimed maestros from its 2^nd through 11^th generations since the relocation from Kyoto to Tokyo during 2^nd generation’s tenure.  Especially, the works produced by early producers are called “Ko-Ohmi (old Ohmi)”.

Last but not least, in order to pass the name on to posterity, Tokyo Japanese Music Instruments & Commerce Union has been taken place the memorial service every 2 years at “Daishin-ji temple” in Tokyo (Mita 4-chome, Minato-ward)
